Josette Bozeman

Josette Bozeman is an American painter and illustrator residing in Leesburg, Georgia.

She received her training in both traditional fine art and illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. Josette finds inspiration in Pop Art, Cubism and pictorial illustrators; she’s influenced by artists such as Andy Warhol, Mary Blair, Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, and Norman Rockwell. She works with a variety of media but prefers oil, gouache and watercolour.

Josette states that her work is inspired by “the human form and how it interacts with colour, boldness, and illusion”. Her work reflects her emotions and tells the story of the modern woman’s quest for self-development and freedom, and how we piece things together to create spiritual and personal meaning with a sense of belonging to the greater whole.
