Tareque Powaday
Tareque Powaday is a New York native who graduated from F.I.T.’s Illustration program.
Comic books and classical art heavily influence his illustration work. He creates concept art for movies as well as private commissions with Adobe Photoshop, watercolours and acrylics.
Tareque’s graphic design work includes independently published projects and small businesses, such as Contemporary Krampus and Rebels: Punks and Skinheads of New York’s East Village 1984-1987. He also designed the websites for Contemporary Krampus and Harmony Dining LLC.
He is a frequent contributor to The Queens Council for arts exhibitions and events. This usually consists of drawing portraits for patrons at the annual gala and other events.
He currently works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer and is available for representation.
