Mr.Misang
Mr Misang makes illustrations about modern life from his studio in Seoul, South Korea. His work is a commentary on contemporary work/life culture. He majored in comics at an animation high school and furthered his education at Dankook University where he studied communication design. Mr Misang has created album covers for musicians including Nafla, DJ DOC and Mad DECENT. He has a wide range of commercial experience and his clients include Samsung, GQ Korea and Coca Cola.
“I was deeply interested in art itself. I tried to make comics, illustrations, music videos, writing essays, and even I started a rock band as bass player and composed music. I tried almost everything to decide what to do. I then realized I have more interest and talent in illustration than other things, and I started to take illustration seriously. I started to make my long term series, ‘Modern Life is Rubbish’ which is still in progress.”
