Sara Haughton

Swedish artist Sara Haughton’s passion is creating fantastical and magical artwork. She aims to “insert a bit of magic into the everyday” with her work.

As a child, Sara was captivated by the illustrations of John Bauer, particularly his ability to transform the seemingly ordinary Swedish landscape into a magical world. His influence can be seen in Sara’s work today. 

Sara has had a lifelong passion for illustration, however, it wasn’t until her twenties that she began drawing seriously, realising that she needed to dedicate her time and energies into developing her natural talent into a skill. With no more excuses, Sara began learning, which she now views as a never-ending journey.

Sara creates her digital works with the help of Adobe Photoshop and her trusted Wacom Cintiq.
