Genoveva Gomez
Genoveva Gomez is a Colombian artist currently based in Berlin, Germany. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Applied Sciences Europe in Berlin.
For her digital work, she uses Photoshop and complements those pieces with analogue techniques such as handmade textures and brushes. With these methods, she can always experiment with new techniques without sacrificing the speed and security that working digitally provides.
She is inspired by illustrators James Jean, Yuko Shimizu, Pat Perry and Peter Diamond. In her work you can see the influence of 90s aesthetics such as American cartoons and Japanese animation of this era.
