Amelia Saward

Amelia is a Melbourne based illustrator, writer and emerging curator whose work has been published in Farrago, Judy’s Punch and .jpg journal. She exhibited in the 2017 Small Works exhibition at the Brunswick Street Gallery. Amelia holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Melbourne in Art History and is completing a Master of Art Curatorship.

Amelia favours the use of ink, watercolour, graphite and pen to explore the female form and themes of nature and the environment. She uses these themes to reflect a bridging of the divides of everyday experience, thoughts and imagination. An interest in feminist art and historical notions of ‘women’s art’ also inform her artistic practice.
