Creating humorous, conceptual illustrations from Cologne, Germany, artist Kati Michaelis is on a pursuit to construct work that not only effectively communicates, but also puts a smile on the face of the recipient.
“Visualizing content is key to spreading information. I love to do so by adding humour to my concepts. My works are inspired by current topics in the news, my daily surroundings and artists like Christoph Niemann and Alessandro Gottardo.”
The process for her work begins with an analogue sketch, which she then digitizes in Adobe Photoshop, allowing her to easily adapt artwork to the vision of her clients.
