Martina Gallo

 
 

Martina Gallo’s artwork is inspired by Japanese culture. Her lifelong interest was intensified during her travels to Japan. 

She cites anime, manga and Hayao Miyazaki as her primary influences on her work. 

Martina studied in Italy and holds a bachelor degree in Scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts, Naples and a Master’s degree in Animation from the International School of Comics, Rome.

She enjoys working with traditional media including pencils, brushes, pastels and acrylic colours, however, her favourite medium is ink and watercolour. Martina also leverages Adobe Photoshop for digital work.

Martina specialises in bespoke decorative art commissions for personal collections and events. She also works commercially for a range of publications and advertising companies. 

She has exhibited her work at the Comic Museum in Milan after winning the 2012 competition, Italian tour of Assassin’s Creed - Art (R)Evolution. Martina is a regular exhibitor at the Naples Comicon - International Comics and Game Show where her work is also available for sale.
