Jean-Thomas MAYER
Born in 1994, Jean-Thomas is a French designer currently based in Munich.
From 2011 to 2016, he completed a Transportation Design Master’s Degree at the Superior Institute of Design in Valenciennes. Professional experiences with Meca’System Racing, Lazareth Auto-Moto, Peugeot and BMW completed his training.
In 2016, six months before his graduation, he began work at BMW Group as a motorcycle designer, working on the future of the Bavarian motorcycle brand, BMW Motorrad.
In addition to his industrial design work, he’s constantly unleashing his imagination and creativity: thinking, sketching and illustrating his own concepts and vehicle ideas, pushing the boundaries of reality. From the first ideation scribbles to Photoshop renderings or 3D models, he can develop an idea in its entirety.
