Luca Di Sciullo

Luca lives in a small town near the beautiful city of Urbino, Italy; here he shaped his early artistic style and poetics attending “Scuola del Libro” and majoring in traditional animation. Having realised that art is his passion, he relocated to Bologna to attend the Academy of Fine Art where he began to develop his graphic style.

His works are inspired by the book Manifesto of the Third Landscape by Gilles Clément which combines his love for cuisine and old time pictures. Quiet tones and a meditative style characterize his art; his images may look static, but they express a strong vision and emotion suggesting that there’s far more to it than meets the eye.

Over the past few years, he has exhibited his illustrations in several group shows.

Over the past year he has been working as a traditional animator in a creative team for Samouni Road, a documentary film directed by Stefano Savona that won the L’Oeil d’Or award in Cannes (2018), and published his first picture book La Fioraia (2018) edited by Topipittori.
