“My inspiration has come about from a need to find a new form of expression, an original language with oil paint. I’m extremely physical with the work, each painting has layer upon layer of marks on the canvas, painted out colour and re-worked imagery. The abstract paintings are all created out of a need and desire to see work that personally satisfies me as a painter.

Modern art museums around the world are my biggest inspiration and before I aimed to be just a visitor, but during the years I felt a strong empowerment of energy, beauty and real emotions in abstract art, that reflected my steps from photography into the abstract art world.

When I am not in my home studio in Vilnius, I am in modern art museums somewhere in Barcelona, Milan, Los Angeles or in my beloved French Riviera.”
