Megan Hinds

Influenced by her Midwestern roots, Megan’s artwork investigates nature’s collective brilliance. She creates three-dimensional intaglio layered prints which encourage exploration and discovery. The outer layers invoke camouflage, texture, and movement integrated to display both continuity and community.

Copperplate printmaking allows Megan the opportunity to draw intricate patterns and apply vibrant colour layers. She produces variable editions using numerous inking techniques, changing colour, paper, and plate orientation. The resulting unique print components are then abstractly cut and assembled into three dimensional art.

Megan received her BFA at Illinois State University. She has created two solo exhibitions, a permanent collection for Carle Hospital Administration, and has been included in many exhibitions across the USA.

Megan actively designs artwork at Chicago Printmakers Collaborative, Chicago’s longest running independent print shop.
