Katinka Hanselman

Katinka Hanselman (b.1990) is a graphic designer living near Maastricht, The Netherlands.

She creates illustrative images using collage techniques by intuitively combining graphic elements. Katinka’s collages often depict strange and absurd illustrations because a collage doesn’t have to resemble reality. The true meaning of a collage remains obscured and doesn’t have to be put into words. She creates her collages using existing images from magazines and is attracted by texture and colour. She also uses tape, stamps, scissors and glue. The finishing touches are made digitally.

Katinka’s favourite subjects are travelling, culture, nature and past. Her collages are published in Making the Cut | Vol 1 - The World’s Best Collage Artists, Annual 2016, Annual 2017 and Kolaj Magazine.
