Frederikke Lange (Frohline)

Frederikke Lange is a Danish artist and illustrator who aims to create art that influences people. She uses surrealism to illustrate expressions we find in each other. The stories she tells are revealed in subtle and curious details hidden in her art.

She studied graphic design and visual communication at KADK, Copenhagen and resides in the city today, along with her family.

Frederikke combines water with acrylic, ink or gouache and has a passion for paper, sourcing old stock with a unique tactility and history. She is inspired by a range of sources and is particularly interested in the work of Alex Foxton and his expressionist method of sketching the human body.

She has exhibited widely, primarily in Denmark in sites including The Royal Danish Opera, Vitra, Blaagaards Galleri, Copenhagen Municipality, and Ofelia Beach.
