Jean-Raphaël Belajew
Jean-Raphaël Belajew, aka Number Wam is a self-taught illustrator and vector artist.
He has been a practicing creative for over 16 years, primarily working with the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular, Illustrator. His work is inspired by street art, the 90’s era, pop culture and Asian culture, with specific reference to Japanese design. His work plays with light and detail, using selective shadows and colour to evoke a particular mood or aesthetic.
In March 2017 he exhibited his illustrations at a gallery in Aubusson, France. This increased his determination to further develop his skill set and challenge himself as an artist by learning new techniques and creative disciplines, including animation and motion graphics.
He lives and works in Brittany, France.
