Jenice Rubright (Neskybo)

Jenice is a Filipino-American artist born in the Midwest. Growing up, she spent much of her time engrossed in video games and comics that explored unique and fantastical worlds, using stories to create personal connections with their audience. This influenced and inspired her to use her art to craft stories that could also connect with others.

She attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, improved upon her illustration skills and storytelling capabilities, earning her bachelor’s degree in comic art.

Jenice’s current focus is on producing comics and creating stories that will inspire her readers.

Influenced by the works of artists such as Akihiko Yoshida, Kimihiko Fujisaka, Kawase Hasui and Nagabe, she primarily works in pencil and ink to create compositions that feel soft and familiar, yet impactful and distinct.
